Ministry: Govt to decide on airport aid after seeing '20 results

MOSCOW, Dec 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will decide on additional COVID subsidies to the airports after seeing results for 2020, the Transport Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

"A decision will be made after we see the results of work of the airline industry for this year in the framework of fulfillment of orders of the Russian Federation president of June 7, 2020," the ministry said.

The Federal Air Transport Agency said earlier that it started to accept applications from the Russian airlines and airports for additional subsidies, adding that 13.625 billion rubles of subsidies were provided to the airlines and 9.1 billion rubles to the airports.
